Obytochna Spit and Obytochna Bay. 23/11/95; Zaporizka Oblast; 2,000 ha; 46°35'N 036°12'E. Game Reserve. An Azov Sea bay and associated spit supporting reed-swamp vegetation and saline meadows fringed by steppe vegetation. The site supports internationally important numbers of nesting Egretta alba and wintering Aythya marila, among various other species of waterbirds. Various relic fish and endemic plant species occur at the site. Human activities include conservation education, recreation, fishing, aquaculture, and hunting. Ramsar site no. 771.
